Activity: 08.07 - Manage Releases And Actions

The objective of this activity is to monitor the Release And Deployment Management process. It also ensures any escalations due to failures in the Release And Deployment Management process, are appropriately handled.

The Release Manager must monitor, control, and coordinate day-to-day activities to ensure smooth execution of the Release And Deployment Management process. Release success rates must be constantly monitored to see if there are too many incidents or changes triggered due to a new service release. In case of escalations that may arise due to unsuccessful deployment, poor handling of the release, incomplete Release Package, schedule variance, service not available as per agreed timeline etc., the Release Manager must handle the same.
